‘Queer Eye’ Fab Five Give Netflix IT Department a Facelift: ‘We Love Nerds’ (Video)

Did you already finish binging the first season of “Queer Eye” and are suffering from some serious Fab Five withdrawal? No worries, Netflix has got you covered with a mini episode that should quench your thirst for at least a few hours. (We know, the struggle is going to be real until there is a second season).
On Friday, the streaming service dropped a feature that took the guys all the way from their home base in Georgia to Netflix’s Los Angeles headquarters to give the company’s IT department a much-needed makeover. After all, they are dubbed the “NERDS” team (affectionately) for a reason.
The Fab Five set their sights on John, a manager in the office in need of a little sprucing up. Antoni (Food & Wine), Jonathan (Grooming), Tan (Fashion) and Kamaro (Culture) make quick work of John’s look and attitude, and Bobby (Interior Design) gives the NERDS workspace a facelift.
And of course, it all ends in a group hug and possibly some tears from fans. Yes, even from a seven-minute feature. Because “Queer Eye” gets you right in the feels no matter what.
Watch the video above.

“Queer Eye” is back for a 2018 reboot on Netflix this week. But since it features an all new cast, audiences may find themselves pining for the original, Emmy-winning Fab 5: Ted Allen, Carson Kressley, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia and Jai Rodriguez. Here’s what they’ve been up to since the original series ended back in 2007.
Bravo

Ted Allen
Ted Allen was “Queer Eye’s” food and wine expert, so it’s no surprise that he’s the host for the Food Network’s popular show “Chopped.” He’s also a frequent contributor to “The Best Thing I Ever Ate,” and has written two cookbooks.

Carson Kressley
Carson Kressley was “Queer Eye’s” fashion expert, and he’s continued to work in fashion with his line of clothing for QVC. He’s hosted and judged several reality shows, including Lifetime’s “How to Look Good Naked” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” He was also a contestant on Season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Kyan Douglas
Kyan Douglas was the grooming expert on the show, and like Kressley and Allen, has continued his career in that vein. He’s currently the style expert on “Rachael Ray.”

Thom Filicia
The resident interior design expert on “Queer Eye,” Thom Filicia has, for the most part, left TV and founded his own interior design company, Thom Filicia, Inc. His firm has worked in spaces in New York, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, Miami and Bermuda.

Jai Rodriguez
Jai Rodriguez was the culture expert, and since “Queer Eye” has expanded his acting career. In addition to several reality TV appearances, the “RENT” alum has guest starred on shows like “How I Met Your Mother,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Wisdom of the Crowd.” He also starred in the TV movie “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.”
