Kim Cattrall to Sarah Jessica Parker: ‘Stop Exploiting’ My Brother’s Death ‘to Restore Your Nice Girl Persona’

“Sex and the City” stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall continue to publicly feud.
On Saturday morning, Cattrall posted an Instagram directly addressed to Parker: “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker,” her picture said. Cattrall’s brother, Christopher, died earlier this month just hours after being reported missing.
She continued her message in the caption: “My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now,” Cattrall wrote.

“Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”
She also suggested that readers follow a link to a New York Post article titled “Inside the Mean Girls Culture That Destroyed Sex and the City.” That piece argues that Cattrall was a “scene stealer” from Parker, who played the lead in Carrie Bradshaw, and that it caused tension and cliques to form on set.
One passage in the article cites an example of the “mean girl” culture on a shoot in Atlantic City. Parker rented a house on location for herself, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who play Charlotte and Miranda, respectively — and that Cattrall was left out.

HBO said in a statement that “Kim stayed in a different house because she was married at the time, and her husband was supposed to come.”
The public feud between Parker and Cattrall started after Cattrall said she would not participate in a “Sex and the City 3” movie.
Parker recently expressed sadness that Cattrall doesn’t consider her a friend.
